Savvy Senior Training is run by Melonie Holmes who offers over 25 years of Business Management experience along with a high emphasis on customer service in her business ethics. Her down to earth approach to helping others use technology makes her an ideal coach to anyone wishing to improve their skills.
Melonie is a native of London, England and gained 10 years of professional administrative experience in Business Information, Recruitment and Organization Effectiveness working at Shell Oil company headquarters in the heart of London. During this time she also obtained a degree in Business Administration from Strathclyde University.
The following 3 years were spent pursuing her love of PDAs (Psion and Palm handheld devices): training individuals and businesses and managing the office side of a pda repair facility. This included training administrative staff, implementing a Sage Accounting system, running the front office and producing procedure documentation.
After moving to New York in 2000, she continued her passion for gadgets, joining a dot.com as Client Relationship Manager and set up the Customer Service department both onsite and in Canada.
Experience in different areas was gained over 3 years with Kleinfelder, an environmental services company where Melonie advanced to the position of Regional Office Manager, setting up 3 offices in upstate New York and supervising staff. All the time training staff and writing procedure manuals.
In 2006, Melonie moved to Augusta which has afforded the opportunity to gain skills in customer service and property management and continue her love of training others in technology. Her passion and focus now is working with seniors and helping them bridge the information technology gap.
